Jamie McIntyre is an Australian author, entrepreneur, financial educator and international property investor. He is the founder of the Australian National Review and the creator of 21st Century Education, an initiative focused on financial literacy, personal development, investing and practical life skills.
After facing severe financial hardship and debt in his early twenties, Jamie committed himself to studying money management, wealth creation and entrepreneurship. That experience inspired him to write What I Didn’t Learn at School but Wish I Had, along with numerous books and educational guides covering investing, leadership, property and personal development.
Jamie built much of his career on identifying long-term financial and investment trends ahead of the broader market. In the late 1990s, he encouraged his followers to acquire gold when it was trading at approximately US$300 an ounce, predicting that it would rise substantially in value. He also consistently advocated investing in Australian residential property, maintaining for more than 25 years that well-selected properties could double in value every decade or less.
In 2010, when confidence in the United States property market remained deeply depressed following the global financial crisis, Jamie invested in American real estate and encouraged others to consider doing the same. He later identified Bitcoin as an emerging investment opportunity and began discussing its potential with followers when it was trading from approximately US$75. Many years later, he publicly called for taking profits at approximately US$110,000.
Jamie has also made contrarian investment calls during periods of economic and geopolitical uncertainty. At the beginning of the Russia–Ukraine conflict, he supported purchasing the Russian ruble when much of the mainstream financial commentary held the opposite view.
More recently, Jamie has focused on the growth potential of Bali and Lombok property, encouraging investors to enter these markets before their substantial expansion. He is now involved in international property development through LUX Property Group and PT Bali Real Estate Investments, including the Nesara Bay City project in Lombok.
Through his books, educational programs, investment commentary and business ventures, Jamie has sought to help people take greater control of their financial futures. It is estimated that the combined wealth created by people who have followed his education and investment strategies exceeds US$10 billion and continues to grow.
