Manufacturing was the main driver of the country’s economic growth, according to the prime minister
Russia’s economy has continued to expand and the GDP reached a record high last year, according to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The prime minister made the remarks on Friday during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on macroeconomic policies for sustainable growth.
Mishustin cited preliminary estimates by the Economic Development Ministry that the GDP grew by approximately 4% in 2024, “driven by high investment and consumer activity.”
