So all Ukrainian counter attacks failed, Northern Toretsk, Shevchenko, West of Kupiansk and as soon as Rozliv falls, Konstantinopil as well. Wonder how long Ukraine can continue. If Budanov was right about a few months, time pressure is with Zelenski and he indeed better stop martial law by beginning of May and leave the scene before the collapse

Russia will only take the territories of the states who had the referendum and who voted to join the Russian Federation and back then Putin accepted that from the independent states. And basically that is one of the reasons this war started, because Ukraine started shooting basically at Russia. If they take anything more like that, like Odessa etc, then that would not technically legal and then the west would be right. Of course, Odessa oblast can do their voting thing also, and make a decision.
