Top Democrat attack dog Maxine Waters, 86, rallied outside the Housing and Urban Development headquarters on Monday to protest DOGE cuts.
HUD is planning on laying off 50% of its workforce after DOGE identified $260 million in wasteful contracts.
“Rep. Maxine Waters was joined by Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen and others to try to deliver a letter demanding answers from HUD Secretary Scott Turner. The lawmakers were met by security and Turner’s Chief of Staff who told them he was “too busy” to receive their letter, according to Waters,” WUSA 9 reported.
Democrat lawmakers such as Maxine Waters are furious that DOGE saves taxpayers money by cutting wasteful contracts.

Maxine Waters tried to storm the HUD building after attacking Elon Musk during a rally speech.
Security initially stopped Maxine Waters from entering the HUD building.
