Russia will not cease fire during negotiations.. they had this experience during the minsk negotiations.. it was used only as a delay mechanism by the wrst in order to regroup their forces.

This is like Putin accepted the US “with a few changes” – point 1. “Ukraine remains sovereign state” is changed into “Ukraine becomes part of Russia”.

Dump is now DESPERATE to avoid a total RF victory, absorbing Ukranus whole, which would be a MASSIVE and catastrophic strategic defeat for the USA. In such an eventuality, nobody will listen to nor pay attention to ANYONE in Europe or the EU even as a unified bloc. They will lose any and all power. The UK will likely collapse as will France and Germany. Like they’ve bet the entire house on this. There is no more “all in” to go except with their own forces which they know will be destroyed within a month in theater. Like they literally would not survive with intact combat capability IMO past one week near the front. We’d be talking 50-70% attrition in vehicles and other critical materiel….attack planes shot down, helos destroyed. NATO’s war “strategy” laid bare as intellectually bankrupt and obsolete.
At the same time, RF’s prestige worldwide will gain massively while the US’s will wane and China’s will reach near parity. US interest payments on debt are nearly the largest expenditure; the USA is now in a fatal debt spiral. RF and China can do math and are playing a waiting game.

I think Russia should just keep rolling and win. These peace plans are traps to get NATO troops in the way to trigger article 5, which depends 100% on the United States. Ignore them, keep going and win the war the old fashioned way.

It’s simply false to claim that Russia isn’t conceding anything. With the imminent collapse of the Ukrainian army, Russia could take almost whatever territory it wants. Whatever it chooses to leave to Ukraine will be its concession — the losing side is lucky with whatever it’s left.
That is why the 2014 Maidan coup, the killing of the Donbass Russian-speaking population, prohibiting their cultural rights, insisting on breaking Russia’s security concerns by joining NATO, sending Ukraine’s youth to their death, destroying the country’s economy, and selling the country to foreign interests for your own benefit was not just a bad idea, but rather an awful and criminal one! Accountability for the 1 million+ deaths and a million more wounded or crippled is MANDATORY! NO AMNESTY WHATSOEVER!

Putin needs to change the demands since they have not changed since before the war started. Putin needs to state that Ukraine has till end of November to abide by the demands. If they don’t, every month the Ukrainians delay, a new Oblast will be added for settlement to be considered. Start with Mykolaiv Oblast, then add Odesa Oblast, then Kharkiv, the Dnipro and so on till they finally reach Poland and Romania.
