Does Russia Really Have No Way to Block Starlink Use Over Ukraine? If Not, Then Musk’s Satellites Should be Shot Down
By Victor Vicktop55
It’s reported that, as part of a countermeasure against Russian drones with Starlink terminals, a speed limit of 75-90 km/h has been introduced, at which point the terminal ceases operation.
This restriction applies to all terminals at once, preventing both Russian and Ukrainian “wings,” which reach significantly higher speeds, from flying.
The enemy notes that this is a temporary solution, and that “whitelists” of Ukrainian terminals are currently being developed. This will mean that only those Starlinks previously entered into a special database will be able to operate over Ukraine, which will naturally negate their use on Russian drones.
