Every Claim CENTCOM Made about the Strait of Hormuz Today

By Mario Nawfal

– Internationally recognized shipping lanes cleared of mines laid by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard months ago.

– The clearing was done by Navy divers, Navy SEALs and air power from the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps, working the strait’s official traffic lanes over months in what Admiral Brad Cooper called dangerous and challenging conditions.

– Nearly 1,500 commercial vessels escorted through the strait over recent months.

– Those ships carried roughly 750 MILLION barrels of crude to global markets.

– Iran has exported ZERO oil from its own shores since the blockade resumed in mid-July.

– No ship has entered or left an Iranian port without American permission, with passage granted only on humanitarian grounds.

– 75 vessels turned around while attempting to run the blockade, and three disabled for non-compliance.

– More than 20 warships, hundreds of aircraft and thousands of personnel sustaining the mission, out of 50,000 U.S. troops across the region.

– Cooper’s bottom line: the lanes are open and “momentum is building”.

BREAKING: CENTCOM says it cleared Iran’s mines and the Strait of Hormuz is open

Admiral Brad Cooper’s account is that Navy divers, SEALs and air power spent months clearing the internationally recognized traffic lanes of IRGC mines, with nearly 1,500 vessels escorted out carrying close to 750 million barrels.

Iran has exported nothing since mid-July, 75 ships were turned back and three disabled.

Qatar’s foreign ministry came out of its prime minister’s meeting with Araghchi describing a framework built on a temporary corridor and a possible joint project to clear the strait of mines.

Allied governments told Bloomberg 80 to 150 are still down there.

Two rival reopenings now sit on the table, and the insurers will likely crown the real one.
