Trump stated that Venezuela will supply the US with 30-50 million barrels of oil.
“This oil will be sold at market prices, and this money will be controlled by me, as the President of the USA, to ensure its use for the benefit of the people of Venezuela and the United States! The oil will be delivered on storage ships directly to unloading docks in the United States,” Trump wrote.
According to media reports, Trump demanded that Venezuela sever ties with China, Russia, Iran, and Cuba, and sell oil only to the US. There has been no report yet on Venezuela’s agreement to meet these conditions.
