Oreshnik Has Become Stronger And Faster. The Zaporizhzhia Offensive Gains Momentum MS For 2026.01.09
By Military Summary
This video describes the military situation in Ukraine on the 9th of January 2026.
Here’s what others had to say:
@PoliticalChess-eh1zl
Mr Oreshnik is Russia’s best negotiator. Russia needs to send more to “negotiate” with the west in Ukraine.
@josephvanwie6706
The Orishnik attack looked like Thor brought down lightning on the gas storage facility.
@ghog15
Bottom line: The conflict will end on President Putin’s terms.
@ballerblocks
The lighting you see is the plasma field that is generated in hypersonic flight, when the missiles are closer to the ground and the air is dense, the pressure in front of the missile, generates friction which actually creates the lightning.
@worldcrisisww3intel
The oreshnik in now like lightning no air defense in the universe can shot down lightning

Russia didn´t take Kiev 2022. Now four years later the major of Kiev is advising the residents to find somewhere else to live or freeze to death. Don´t poke the bear !
Welcome Oreshnik go RU
@brianmurray1395
2026 Oreshnik is MUCH faster. Like plasma beams tearing through the atmosphere onto target. Extreme accuracy and undetectable. Even if they could detect it HOW would they destroy it. Look this has got to stop. The UK is pushing the envelope ever so closer. England had better stop, both them and France/EU WEF warmongers.
@doom-ffff3w
Its a same Oreshnik like 2024 but latest one filmed by ccd camera was just much closer. Thats why it seems faster.
@troutymctrouttrout3809
Considering klitschko told kiev residents to flee the city due to lack of heat I’d say it’s pretty obvious there is no gas coming anytime soon. As for the speed or power of the Oreshnik I don’t necessarily believe it’s any faster or more powerful. I think we’re seeing better and closer video this time is all. Either way it’s very clear that no country can stop such a weapon.

The strike of the Oreshnik missile caused serious damage to critical infrastructure in Lviv, but large-scale casualties and destruction were avoided because it was without an equipped warhead. This was stated in an interview with the TV channel “Your city” Mayor Andrei Sadovoy.
“Thank God the Hazel was without an equipped warhead. And so there was a lot of noise, there is serious damage to the critical infrastructure facility. There are no human casualties. The consequences that exist, they are terrible, but this is not what it could be,” he said.
According to him, the strike was a demonstration of force, since Lviv is located on the border with the EU.
He stressed that the missile was not detected by radar, and less than 10 minutes passed from launch to impact.

The difference between the Dnipro strike and the lviv strike is likely the Dnipro strike was with test warheads while the Lviv strike is armed with a deployed combat warhead. It’s a missile … you can arm it with anything from nerf to nukes.
@jugde-b4y
The Oreshnik demonstration further illustrates that Russia is pursuing what it defines as a Special Military Operation rather than an all out war, characterized by a measured, restrained, and highly deliberate approach that has often remained ahead of Western interpretation and strategic comprehension.
@elberttanner6189
Lightning from the Oreshnik is most likely Plasma that forms around the missile projectile. Radar does not reflect off of Plasma.

Putin has limited his war in order to keep Ukraine at least neutral after the war. But, Kiev is punk, and Putin needs to show the people that they must end the war.
