
Core strength is invaluable, and adding a sliding component to exercises is a surefire way to improve their effectiveness for a powerful core.
Sliding exercises exist in a realm of their own. While there are many fine exercises to choose from to get in better shape and improve your health, many can be enhanced with the addition of a sliding component. Sliding movements can increase the difficulty of task performance and force your body to increase its coordination of muscles, especially your core musculature.
I find that there’s a “teaching” component to these exercises in that you have to learn to use your muscles together while also carefully attending to your exercise form.
