Maduro is a wannabe rocket man.
With the continuing military and intelligence pressure against Venezuela’s socialist regime of Nicolas Maduro, his own inner circle is in turmoil, and successive purges try to weed out traitors, real or imaginary.
So, Maduro has to be constantly beating his war drum, engaging in what he believes to be shows of force.
Now, the ‘tyrant of Caracas’ claims he has 5,000 Russian anti-aircraft missiles positioned in ‘key air defense positions’.
The Sun reported:
“The inflammatory statement comes as a bold response to the United States’ continued military deployment in the Caribbean.”

This comes as Trump is considering further military action inside Venezuela as part of his war on drug cartels.
4,500 troops are deployed in the Caribbean, and several lethal strikes have targeted alleged drug boats off the Caribbean coast.
“Trump revealed last week that he had granted permission for the CIA to conduct covert operations in Venezuela.
He went on to say that the US was considering expanding military activity to land operations.
‘I authorized it for two reasons’, he said. Venezuela, he said, was the ‘worst abuser’ of ‘open border” policies under the Biden administration, emptying its ‘prisons, mental institutions, insane asylums’ of migrants to the US.
‘The other thing is drugs … We have a lot of drugs coming in from Venezuela’.”
