The Liberals are hopeless and don’t deserve support from voters. Senator McGrath is a Liberal who stands out from the rest on some issues. Nevertheless while Cairns News has published the evidence for the past 12 years, that there is no lawful government in Australia, state or federal.
This illegitimacy has nothing to do with Labor and ABC’s so-called sovereign citizens, an oxymoron in any case. It is all to do with corrupt political parties and their manipulation of our founding law. Parties don’t rate a mention in the Commonwealth Constitution Act.
The only solution to this morass is to shut down the entire government and start again with a people’s parliament, not that of corporations.
Albanese of course is desperate to start a republic and he has secret desires of being the first president of the Socialist Republic of Australia. God help us. He wants to shut down the shit show not for the betterment of the people but to kick off his republic.
It seems the dumbed-down populace will allow it.
On Tuesday Senator McGrath told the senate what he thought of Labor but unfortunately the Liberals are no better.

Senator McGRATH (Queensland) (13:30): There is a cult of secrecy building a culture of secrecy in Parliament House. When Labor came to office, Prime Minister Albanese promised Australians a new era of accountability and transparency. But what we have instead is the least transparent government perhaps since Federation. This is an arrogant government and an arrogant prime minister, who believe they are accountable to no-one, least of all the Australian people represented in this chamber.
From the very start, this government has treated scrutiny as an inconvenience rather than an obligation. Labor created cheat sheets for public servants, directing them on how not to answer questions at Senate estimates. Labor have continually failed to answer basic questions at Senate estimates. Labor have shut down debate and guillotined legislation at a record rate, including forcing through 45 bills in the final sitting week of 2024. There’s Labor’s ongoing refusal to comply with simple requests for orders for the production of documents, and there are their delays when it comes to answering questions on notice. There’s Labor’s truth tax—its plans to introduce new charges for freedom-of-information requests—and stricter rules relating to cabinet confidentiality. There’s the Prime Minister’s mean, vindictive and personally nasty decision to sack opposition and crossbench staff. But things will only get worse.
Labor promised transparency but have delivered this culture of secrecy. The Prime Minister’s record on integrity isn’t just disappointing; it’s a genuine affront to democracy.
