Dear Leeton Shire Councillors,
We are absolutely disappointed that you have apparently accepted a pittance of $3m blood money from the “ruin-a-bull” industries, in particular, those putting in the Yanco BESS .
I think you fail to understand that you, as a Council, are taking the ratepayers into unknown “open cheque-book” territory when you approve these industrial installations, or do not tell the State that you are a no-go-zone, as Yass Council has done now. As a Council you will be liable in the future for not the measly $3m, but $300m even up to $3b or an infinite number for damages when law suits will be brought against Council. This ruin-a-bull charge is an assured “asbestos of the future”. PFAS, PFOS and Bisphenol A – the most toxic substance they know, according to the Swedish EPA – which micro-flakes from wind turbines, are just some of the issues. Solar panels break down and emit PFAS/PFOS and this, as well as Bisphenol A will get into our underground water, not to mention be spread over the countryside for miles around. Hail-storms on solar panels smash glass and ensure that ground is no longer useful for grazing, and will cut the mouths of wildlife as they graze. It is cruelty unimaginable.
This is going to come back to bite Councils, and long after all the smart CEO’s of councils everywhere who are pushing this line have left with their fancy CV’s celebrating what they did with the blood money from INTERNATIONALLY OWNED energy companies have gone onto greener pastures, the LOCALS are going to have to be liable for this.
Are you aware for example that back in May Reuters reported that kill switches have been found in componentry of so-called “renewable” equipment, rendering them “ruin-a-bull”. This is because as they came from China, and with CCP ownership in many of those companies, China would potentially be able to turn off the power grid whenever it suited them. This is a matter of NATIONAL SECURITY, and you, as a body, need to come to terms with this.
I have written publicly about this Secret Energy Business here, where I went into some detail about the farce of a “consultation” in Leeton. I also addressed the committee on behalf of my husband and I at the Leeton “consult” that was NOT a consult, and no-body was allowed to listen to it or attend to hear others. I asked people if they knew about the BESS – they have no idea. There should be a requirement for any company wanting to deface our countryside with these anomalies which DO NOT DELIVER stable power and are incapable of doing so, to letterbox the whole LGA and surrounding LGA’s, and consequently hold a truly PUBLIC meeting whereby everyone can hear what everyone else’s concerns are.
Presently, this is not publicised properly, which is a deliberate ploy, and media is taking advertising dollars from the energy companies and governments, so they do not allow any airing of issues raised by those opposing “renewables”. Yet, people are starting to wake up now, with rural Victoria revolting in a huge way once it’s understood what it means for their communities.
Our power bills continue to go upwards, ever upwards, and we have been told by our very own governments that it’s because of “renewable” energy. It is a total con, and more and more, it is seen as such across the globe. Businesses everywhere are closing because they can’t afford their power bills. Local landowners hosting wind and solar will be bankrupted as our government has said they are responsible for the decommissioning!
These energy companies are often sold several times before the “projects” even begin. Many of them collapse, leaving Australian sub-contracting businesses hung out to dry and other debts in the community. We are transferring our wealth to international corporations who have no buy-in in our communities.
Council is putting their ratepayers at risk, and making them so liable that future rates will have to be jacked up to insurmountable figures to pay for the damages which you as a council have seen fit to approve.
Please re-think this, do some proper research and learn about what is REALLY going on in this space. It is a drain on our economy, and has no hope of working, particularly if it can be killed off whenever the CCP might like to if we ever got into a wartime situation.
Meanwhile, I attach for your information my address to the Yanco BESS ICPN hearing which may help you to understand the UN influence over-riding our law, and the tie-up with water issues and easements which will have a huge affect on our region.
Please reconsider, and should you wish to see the cumulative effect of this, you can view the renewables truth map to see the extent.
