White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Thursday confirmed that Democrat-run California issued the commercial driver’s license (CDL) to the illegal alien charged with killing three people in a horrific chain-reaction crash this week.
As previously reported, after public pressure, the identity of the 21-year-old semi-truck driver who killed three people on a Southern California freeway on Tuesday was released: Jashanpreet Singh
According to Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, Singh is an Indian illegal alien who was caught and released by border patrol agents at the El Centro, California, sector by the Biden administration in March 2022.
“I’m told ICE is placing a detainer request on Singh with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, where he is in custody on suspicion of DUI causing great bodily injury and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated,” Bill Melugin said.

Dashcam video obtained by KABC shows the moment Singh plowed into three vehicles before smashing into another semi-truck.
A total of 8 vehicles, including four big rig trucks, were involved in the deadly crash.
Singh was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. Other charges are pending.

The White House confirmed California granted Singh a CDL after he illegally entered the US through the state’s porous border.
Investigators found that one in four commercial driver’s licenses issued in California were improperly issued to non US citizens, including illegal aliens. Illegal aliens who failed reading tests were issued CDLs.
“Do you know if California gave [Singh] a commercial driver’s license?” a reporter asked Karoline Leavitt.
Leavitt replied, “Yes, I can confirm that California gave him a commercial driver’s license…it’s something the Transportation Secretary has already looked into…”
“These tragedies are following a disturbing pattern of these criminal illegal aliens being issued commercial vehicle licenses,” she said.
