In his recap of President Trump’s historic Joint Address to Congress, War Room host Steve Bannon excoriated every Democrat party official in Congress. Not one Democrat official applauded, much less stood, for 13-year-old DJ Daniel, an American battling brain cancer for many years past doctors’ expectations.
Daniel was overjoyed to be named an honorary U.S. Secret Service agent at President Trump’s Joint Address to Congress. Meanwhile, Democrats displayed utter contempt all evening, as President Trump continually offered the olive branch and showcased heroic Americans.
Recently, The Gateway Pundit reported that the Democrat party’s 29% favorability rating among Americans has reached its lowest number since 1992, according to a CNN poll.
Evidently, Americans are no longer interested in endless wars, endless negativity, and limited solutions for the everyday concerns of Americans.
In contrast to these brutal polling numbers for the Democrats, President Trump’s Joint Address to Congress received a resounding 76% approval rating, according to a CBS poll.
Bannon calmly outlined the downfalls of the Democrats in this electric War Room monologue:

“You either believe President Trump is divinely inspired to lead this nation into a new Golden Age – and if you don’t, that’s fine, but then you’ve got the demonic response…
“[The Democrats] are a shattered party… It’s like a freakshow… There is something deeply dysfunctional about those people. There is no way [for them] to regroup,” Bannon said.
Bannon then quoted the late Rush Limbaugh as saying, “I told [President Trump] that no matter what he does to try to accommodate the left, [they] will never forgive him for defeating them, and they will never forgive him for what he stands for.”
Limbaugh’s forewarning remains as pertinent as ever – during President Trump’s Joint Address to Congress, no matter how sincerely President Trump tried to unite Americans, the Democrats refused to honor the president in any sense.
One lone, surprise exception to this mob rule emerged for the Democrats in the aftermath of President Trump’s Joint Address to Congress: California Governor Gavin Newsom.
Despite all of Newsom’s historical maneuvers toward authoritarian government in California, Newsom portrayed great respect for the populist Steve Bannon, whom Newsom invited on his podcast.
Bannon showed mutual respect for Newsom – and the two political rivals shared many laughs as they disagreed on the key issues, primarily debating economics during their fifty minute discussion.
Newsom’s newly launched podcast represents a calculated pivot by Newsom toward the political center – the term-limited governor is clearly rebranding himself as a moderate, ahead of the 2028 presidential election.
Still, Newsom deserves credit for engaging Republicans in the type of meaningful discourse that all other Democrat officials are either too afraid, or incapable, of having.
Newsom recently shared on a podcast episode with populist firebrand Charlie Kirk that Newsom’s twelve-year-old son is Kirk’s “biggest fan,” and conceded that the digital messaging of Republicans trounces the digital messaging of Democrats.
In any case, Newsom’s spirited debate with Bannon signified a highly refreshing conversation in an era when nearly all Democrat officials on the national stage refuse to give President Trump’s supporters anything more than the evil eye.
Considering the state of the Democrat party’s favorability polling, Newsom’s strategy may be the Democrat party’s only hope for political viability.
