FBI Director Kash Patel went off on ESPN’s most infamous personality after he launched an insane conspiracy theory about Thursday’s NBA scandal.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Patel on Thursday announced the arrest of more than 30 people across 11 states, including Portland Trail Blazers head coach and NBA Hall of Famer Chauncey “Big Shot” Billups, and Miami Heat player Terry Rozier. This was part of a takedown of a massive sports gambling ring that included a poker scheme and “sports rigging.”
The poker scheme, which used X-ray tables to read cards face down, wireless devices, and chip tray analyzers, was tied to the Italian mafia, La Cosa Nostra.
The Bonanno, Gambino, Lucchese, and Genovese crime families were involved.
Following the explosive revelation, sports commentator and well-known screaming blowhard Stephen A. Smith outlandishly claimed on ESPN’s “First Take” that the FBI’s press conference about the arrests was part of a Trump-driven “revenge” campaign.
“Remember, Trump has a long, long history connected to the world of sports because he had those casinos,” Smith stated. “Where do you think folks were coming half the time? I’m not talking about individuals, I’m talking about the culture.”
“Don’t be surprised if the WNBA is next on his list,” he continued. “This man is coming. He’s coming.”
Smith then argued that Patel’s appearance wasn’t routine, but a warning from Trump himself.
“It’s not coincidental. It’s not an accident. It’s a statement, and it’s a warning that more is coming,” he said.
In addition to the TDS-style whining, the FBI investigation began four years ago under the Biden regime. So, Team Trump was finishing what Biden’s handlers started.
When Laura Ingraham asked Patel about Smith’s insane remark, the FBI Director did not mince words as he ripped the sports commentator to shreds.

PATEL: I’m the FBI director. I decide which arrest to conduct and which not to conduct.
That may be the single dumbest thing I’ve ever heard out of anyone in modern history. And I live most of my time in Washington, D.C.
“It’s right up there with Adam Schiff. We arrest people for crimes.
When you are getting lumped in with the crooked TDS-deranged Schiff in terms of stupidity, you have sunk to a new low.
