SO who is Josh Hammer, readers might ask. He’s a prominent online Jewish-American who is also a syndicated columnist and senior editor-at-large for Newsweek.
Hammer previously worked as an editor at Daily Wire, the conservative media company that employed Candace Owens before she fell out with it’s owner Ben Shapiro.
Shapiro and Hammer represent the conservative wing of American Judaism that is strongly allied with the America-Israel Political Action Committee (AIPAC) and the vast US community of pro-Israel Christian churches aka Christian Zionists.
Shapiro and Hammer also allied themselves with Charlie Kirk and his hugely successful political machine called Turning Point USA. Kirk, of course, was always an ardent Christian Zionist, believing as so many Christians do, that modern Israel is God’s chosen nation of latter-day fulfilled prophecy.
Hammer did his best to cover up the fact that Kirk was utterly frustrated and angered by the antics of the Jewish lobby. One particular group withheld a large donation in the millions of dollars and demanded that Kirk not allow Tucker Carlson on the Turning Point USA platform. Carlson had committed the unpardonable sin of questioning Israel.
Kirk meanwhile, began to share his concerns and text messages with Carlson. “They (the Jewish donors) want you off the stage,” Kirk told Carlson, who said “no problem”. But Kirk refused to back down on principle and told Tucker he was to appear on his TPUSA stage.
Owens described as “demonic” the swarming, pressuring, threatening and intimidation of Kirk by people demanding that the narrative go a certain way, and then “switching in one second” after his death to say what “good friends” they were and pretend everything was rosy.
“Josh Hammer lied about the state of Charlie’s mindset toward Israel when he died,” Owens posted on X.
“Now he’s crying and threatening to sue because he is embarrassed that I shared the text messages and exposed him. The era of utilizing lawfare to silence those who tell the truth is now over.”
“They love to sue,” another person posted.
