Health Minister Greg Hunt to Provide Health Records.

The Informed Medical Options Party is calling on federal health minister Greg Hunt to authorise the release of his medical records after he was hospitalised less than 24 hours after receiving the AstraZeneca COVID19 vaccine.
We are also calling on the Therapeutic Goods Administration to conduct an immediate assessment of Mr Hunt’s Adverse Event Following Immunisation (AEFI) and publish the results of that assessment.
The Australian Immunisation Handbook [1] defines an AEFI as any negative reaction that follows vaccination.
It has been widely reported that Minister Hunt has been diagnosed with cellulitis, however a possible connection with his vaccination has been quickly dismissed by the media.
Post-vaccination neutropenia [2] is well documented, and neutropenia predisposes one to cellulitis [3], so to summarily dismiss the link between Mr Hunt’s symptoms and the vaccination he received is not justified.
In pre-licensure clinical trials [4], transient haematological changes from baseline (neutropenia) were observed in 46% of participants in the AstraZeneca vaccine group compared with 7% in the MenACWY vaccine group.
It is in the public interest that Mr Hunt release his medical records, including his haematology test results, because he has a long history of callously dismissing legitimate vaccine safety concerns as well as supporting mandatory vaccination laws.
In 2015, the LNP government abolished the right to conscientiously object to vaccination for the purpose of eligibility to means-tested family assistance payments, which in 2019 were valued at up to $26,000 per annum [5]. This policy has resulted in some parents having to give up their jobs and children missing out on early childhood education and socialisation opportunities.
In 2020, the states and territories mandated flu vaccination for aged care workers and visitors to those facilities, on the advice of the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) [6]. This resulted in some people losing their jobs, or being prevented from visiting elderly relatives in their homes.
We wish Mr Hunt a speedy recovery, so he can be held to account for the societal harms his government’s policies and vaccine injury denialism have caused over many years.
