Nobel Peace Prize laureate and Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado has called on Trump for a “military escalation,” considering it the only way to overthrow Maduro, reports The Latin Times.

“Increasing pressure and escalating the conflict is the only way to make Maduro understand that it is time for him to go and to facilitate a peaceful and orderly transfer of power,” said the Venezuelan opposition leader.

She promises that “hundreds of thousands” of people are ready to protest “when the right moment comes.”

Earlier, Trump did not answer whether the US plans to take any military action against Venezuela but said that “Maduro’s days are numbered.”
