Evil Australian Paedophile Beaten to Death Behind Bars by Fellow Inmates in Shocking Prison Attack

A notorious paedophile, who once posed as a security guard and lured children into a toilet block, has died after an alleged assault at a Queensland jail.
Shannon Daniel Norgate died in hospital on Monday following an incident involving two other inmates at the Maryborough Correctional Centre on November 26.
Queensland Police confirmed the 28-year-old was found unresponsive about 9am after the altercation.
In March 2020, Norgate was convicted of five child offences, including the 2019 sexual assault of two boys in a school bathroom while disguised as a security guard.
Gladstone District Court heard Norgate took a four-year-old boy by the hand and sexually abused him, an act witnessed by a five-year-old.
He was handed a four-year jail sentence, which was suspended after serving nearly 14 months in custody.
Then in 2023, he was caught grooming a 12-year-old and jailed for just two years, even though the judge described him as a true predator.
Norgate, then 23, was said to have spoke to him about sex and drugs, before enticing the boy into his unit and offering money for oral sex.

He was incarcerated at Maryborough Correctional Centre, where the incident took place
He later faced court on other occasions including for contravening an offender prohibition order, failing to report a reportable offender under the Child Protection (Offender Reporting and Offender Prohibition Order) and possessing a needle.
In July 2020, just months after he was handed a suspended sentence for the assault of two boys, Norgate was found to be living across from a Brisbane primary school.
He was forced to relocate by police.
His movements were then tracked by vigilantes online, who were eager to ensure his relocation didn’t pose a risk to nearby children.
Days later, footage emerged of a member of the public punching Norgate in the head while he waited at a Brisbane transit centre.
The Queensland Police Service is investigating Norgate’s death.
