A deranged “Free Palestine” extremist attempted to terrorize the family of DEI U.S. Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett by threatening her sister with a mailbox bomb.
According to WYFF, citing the Charleston Police Department, authorities responded around 9:30 a.m. Monday after receiving an alarming bomb threat directed at Amanda Coney Williams.
The threat, sent via email to an employee of the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office late Sunday night, detailed an alleged homemade explosive device that was supposedly placed in Williams’ mailbox.
The email read:
“Using a 1×8-inch threaded galvanized pipe, end caps, a kitchen timer, some wires, metal clips and homemade black powder, I’ve constructed a pipe bomb which I recently placed in Amy Coney Barrett’s sister’s mailbox at her home in Charleston, SC.
The device’s detonation will be triggered as soon as the mailbox is next opened. Free Palestine!”
Upon receiving the threat, Charleston law enforcement officers immediately responded and conducted an investigation at Williams’ home.
Thankfully, after a thorough examination, officials determined the threat was a false alarm and that no explosive device was found in the mailbox.
Amanda’s husband, David Williams, told authorities that while they had no idea who could be targeting their home, they had noticed strange activity over the weekend.
Reports indicate that an unknown individual attempted to deliver pizza to several homes linked to Barrett’s family—a possible tactic to confirm their location before carrying out an attack.
According to Reuters:
Several federal judges in the Washington, D.C., area received pizzas sent anonymously to their homes, which was interpreted by law enforcement as a form of intimidation meant to convey that a target’s address is known, Reuters reported, citing a person familiar with the judicial security environment.
The Federal Judges Association in a statement on Wednesday cited the bomb threat targeting Barrett as it said it “remains deeply concerned about the rising threats and intimidation the judiciary faces.”
This isn’t the first time radical activists have targeted conservative Supreme Court Justices and their families.
Following the Roe v. Wade reversal, left-wing mobs protested outside the homes of justices, with some even attempting assassination plots.
Justice Brett Kavanaugh was nearly killed when an armed leftist was arrested outside his home in 2022.
