Paraguay’s president has RESIGNED after a spectacular banking collapse left millions of people unable to access their own money.
And the whole thing unraveled in just THREE DAYS.
Regulators seized Ueno Bank, a digital lender with roughly 3 MILLION customers, after uncovering serious financial irregularities.
Then came the protests.
People lined up outside bank branches, desperate to withdraw their savings, while lawmakers moved to IMPEACH President Santiago Peña over his past financial ties to the lender.
It was all about getting rid of Peña… since when do Presidents resign when privare banks collapse?
Maybe there’s more to it… but it all feels very political to me and very fast.
