Second Open Dialogue ‘The Future of the World. A New Platform for Global Growth’ to be held at National Centre RUSSIA

Moscow will host a global forum on growth, technology, demography and trade with delegates from 40+ countries

The Second Open Dialogue ‘The Future of the World. A New Platform for Global Growth’ is set to take place at the National Centre RUSSIA in Moscow from April 27 to 29. Participants can expect lectures by international experts, pitch sessions, idea presentations, networking, and discussions with representatives from more than 40 countries.

The program is built around four tracks: investment in people (education, demography), in technology (artificial intelligence, cybersecurity), in the environment (ecology, circular economy), and in connectivity (trade, digital currencies, logistics).

A total of 1,638 essays were submitted to the competition from various countries. More than 300 made the longlist. The most popular topic among authors was investment in people, which accounted for 40% of submissions. This was followed by technology (24%), connectivity (20%), and the environment (16%). Among foreign participants, the greatest interest was in the use of technology in agriculture.

An AI assistant, ODI, was used to assess the texts: it checked the essays for plagiarism and evaluated the extent to which generative models had been used. Only original works written with minimal involvement of artificial intelligence reached the final. This year, the quality of submissions rose noticeably – 75 authors hold academic degrees.

The competition’s geography has also expanded: participants from 18 new countries joined the project, including Nepal, Armenia, Nicaragua, and Uruguay.

A distinctive feature of the dialogue is its principle of continuity: essayists from previous years will serve as experts and jury members. In this way, an intellectual community is being formed in which participants gradually become carriers of ideas themselves.

The event is being held at the Russia National Centre in partnership with the Third Rome Center for Cross-Sector Expertise, with support from the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation. President Vladimir Putin approved the initiative, noting its importance for shaping a new global agenda.

Registration for the Open Dialogue is ongoing. Applications can be submitted on the event’s website.
